one's reality is shaped by one's perceptions

envision this for a moment: a person (A) who has yellow-tinted shades on and a person who has red shades (B) gaze at a blue wall. person A goes, "wow, this wall is so green, I can't believe someone thought it was blue.."

and person B goes, "you can't be serious. the wall is purple, it can easily be perceived as blue!"

despite the difference in their attitudes they're both perceiving the blue wall incorrectly. the blue wall is already...and will always remain... blue
