Starcraft II is a Relic of non-mindless gaming.

RTS games are a known genre, from Age of Empires to League of Legends believe it or not.

What Age of Empires and Starcraft II do that others don't is the fact that you actually have to put attention and analyze, observe, and logically connect the composition of armies of your opponents and counter it, not only producing units (MACRO) but also with movement (MICRO).

This is a key difference with other RTS games, where playing is just a different kind of brain zombification with reflex-based skills, just like most FPS games offer.

Starcraft II, although fast-paced, actually makes you think and actively imagine new strategies, it makes you use your brain by incentivizing you to switch your attention to multiple tasks.

There are 4 key activities required to win a game out of beginner levels:
- Scouting: Having information available of your opponent.
- Macro management: Producing Units and Buildings that allows it.
- Micro management: Army movement and Positioning.
- Build orders: Optimal Building placement timing required for Strategy.

Most RTS Games either lack one of these features or are highly simplified to single-click action.

Games are supposed to be entertaining yet beneficial to your neurons, with Chess and Monopoly being very very classic examples.
