I was writing shit here. i accidently reloaded the page. AGH!

I have a favorite gopherhole.

For the uninitiated, gopher is alternative web protocol, primarily text based, for the nerds among the nerds. Typically accessed through a terminal/ssh client, or a dedicated browser if you want. its cool, but its not replacing the web anytime soon. very non-commercial of course.

A phlog is a blog on the gopherspace. thats it.

there is a flog called "freet", with the tagline "free thoughts by the free thinker". The free thinker, as i'll call him, is a dude living in rural australia, i'm betting mid 30's or so, maybe a tad younger, whom i can only describe as a chud in the most modern sense. He is a nudist, he lives alone, he works freelance online remote IT jobs with minimal social interaction, his hobbies include fixing old cars, retrocomputing, and... being a nudist.

His plogs are split into three primary avenues of topics; 25% are technical mumbo jumbo i'm not nerdy enough to understand, 25% are his other hobbies (old jaguars, nudism, and exploring dams), and 50% are his views on the world and his life. I find the latter to be some of the most interesting reading i've ever done. He will write about a LOT of things: The meaning of life (there isn't one, its a loop, have fun), political musings, dams, his hatred of children, woman, holidays, his cars, woman, the government, did i mention woman?

Of course, all of those are fairly interesting depending on who you are; perhaps you find the upward (occasionally downward, never as much as the upward swings though) trend of aussie grocery prices over the last 5 years interesting. Personally, I'm in it for the most entertaining part of the phlog; The free thinkers thoughts on woman.

To the typical woman, arguably a vast majority, a nudist 30 something living alone with no friends and no desire for a job where any social interaction is involved nor career aspirations whos main interests is retrocomputing, old cars, and a mix of politics/history is not particularly desirable. Whats curious to me is he recognizes this fact plainly, yet continues to yearn and wish for a woman to fall into his lap, while sort of ignoring a big root issue of why he is (seemingly, blogs can conceal info) completely alone.

Probably a third of his blog posts mention woman, usually in the context of wanting to meet them, have sex with them, or just thinking about them constantly. Its frankly depressing. He has seemingly resigned himself to never really having a meaningful connection with anyone at all, saying "this is as good as it gets for me" mentioning hes fairly satisfied with what he has going on.

I dont really have a point in this post. I think people, at least people my age, hate on incels/chuds/whatever you want to call them pretty consistently, and i'd argue justifiably so; most of them are fairly gross people who have this mindset of acquiring a woman like a its a achievement or a prize, free thinker included. I also think the perspective of a incel, when laid so thoroughly out for anyone to see through something like a phlog, is extremely interesting.

Free thinker, if you somehow, someway read this: your issue isn't your interests, your nudism, your tinkering with old electronics, the stereotypical nerd activities, its not even the general hatred or at least lack of understanding for general society and social norms: Its the mindset your stuck in when it comes to woman. They are just people. They exist, some have the same interests you do, some dont, whatever. If you make zero effort to speak to a single one, if you dont even attempt to learn, if you do nothing to pursue any social connection you will certifiably be forever alone. I think you need to realize that

Free thinker serves as a anti-role model to me. Prior to a few years ago, I didn't want to do jackshit, my goal in life was to be a rich recluse who never left his house, i didnt really care about having like good friends or a girlfriend or whatever, I didn't see the point. Free thinker didnt open my eyes to the beauty of friends or human connection, but he sure as hell did show me what would happpen if i didnt value them while i got em; A sad, isolated, frustrated life alone with nothing but my hobbies and screaming into the void of the internet to bring me comfort.

dont be a chud.

you dont have to go outside. you dont have to touch grass. just be a kind person. remember every person is a person to, they have their own deal, and if they aren't activley trying to disengage with you they probably at least tolerate you enough for you to keep talking to them. so do so.

And there is no shame in wearing your heart on your sleeve, as long as you have just a lil tact. a lil bit. as to avoid being a insuffrable asshole.
